I’ve been a wrestling fan as long as I can remember. In most of my childhood photos I’m dressed as Jeff Hardy or wearing a John Cena armband around my head. Once I got a little older and more hip to the biz, I started creating my own storylines and universes. At first it was just using Universe Mode in WWE 2k14 to make my favourites WWE Champion (Christian Cage had an all timer rivalry with Tyler Breeze in my 2k16 Universe). Once I felt the games were too restrictive, I just started writing it down. I’ve got some journals tucked away in old boxes which are filled with little rebookings and the like. I actually got quite obsessive for a while that it became the most fun thing for me to do in my spare time. Once I got a new laptop for uni I started this massive Word Doc that went from WrestleMania 1 all the way to current day and my goal was to have rebooked all of WWE history. But then I got tired of doing just WWE stuff so I amde a new doc about TNA and another about AEW. Just rewriting whatever I felt inspired by at the time. Sadly, that laptop recently died after I miraculously spilled body wash on it. Since I always ignore all those pesky “Cloud Storage is full” notifications, I lost all of that. About 5 or 6 years of progress.
Alas, my obsession persists and a new chapter begins where I’m redoing it all and this time actually sharing it with other people. I thought I’d also add in some thoughts I have about wrestling and try and spotlight some lesser talked about aspects. Ideally, I’d love for wrestling to be massively popular with everyone but one good thing about it still being niche is that there’s still a lot of room for new people and new ideas. I like to think that I think about wrestling a little bit differently than most people so I hope you find my perspective fresh and that I can give you something to think about.
I’ll always focus on storytelling and emotional moments as that’s what I live for in any medium. Moments like Cody Rhodes finishing the story, Miss Elizabeth saving Macho Man, the Golden Lovers reuniting, Minoru Suzuki bowing to Jushin Thunder Liger, and Nao Ishikawa standing up to Sareee despite being obviously terrified are what keep me watching wrestling. These potent emotional moments are rare and require time and equity to create but when they’re done it really reminds me why wrestling is better than any other form of entertainment. Sometimes it may seem like I’m a bit negative but it’s because I love wrestling so much and know how good it can be so I hold it all to a high standard.
Anyway, I hope you like some of the stuff that I have to say and enjoy reading. Also, everything you see on this site is completely done by me so if you see anything you like feel free to get in contact with me!
